About the Role

As Council’s Leisure Services and Recreation Officer, you will play a vital role in shaping Baw Baw Shire Council's aquatic and leisure services and contribute to the delivery of recreation outcomes and fostering positive community health and engagement. 
Working within the supportive and dynamic Recreation team, you'll oversee the management of key contracts and facilities, ensuring compliance, high-quality service delivery, and continuous improvement. 
This role offers an opportunity to collaborate with passionate stakeholders, lead innovative programs, and contribute to a vibrant and active community, all while enjoying a culture that values optimism, respect, and professional growth.

 

About the Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will bring a combination of relevant tertiary qualifications in recreation, leisure, business management, or a related field, and experience in managing aquatic and leisure services or similar contracts. 
With strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, you'll thrive in building positive relationships with diverse groups, including contractors, community organisations, and Council partners.
Your proven expertise in contract management, budget oversight, and compliance will ensure the delivery of high-quality services. Additionally, your ability to solve complex problems, think strategically, and manage competing priorities will set you apart.
