About the Role

Due to a recent retirement, the Public Health Unit is looking for a qualified Public Health Officer to join their team of public health and wastewater professionals on a part time basis.

A rare opportunity is now available for a suitably qualified Environmental/Public Health Officer to get involved across all aspects of environmental and public health.

You will not be limited to singular functions within this diverse role. You will be expected to have a minimum of two years’ experience on current and contemporary environmental, public health and risk management practices, preferably within Victoria.

You will assist in achieving a high standard of health and wellbeing in the community by participating in and providing risk assessments across all aspects of public health; including waste water, food and health premises, caravan parks, public health complaints, sampling regimes and public health projects unique to Baw Baw; inclusive of contract project work and projects being delivered under arrangements with other organisations

The successful candidate will have relevant qualifications and experience, particularly in a regional/rural setting, demonstrated negotiation skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
