About the Role
Are you passionate about inclusion and belonging and making a difference within your community? This newly created role within our Connected Communities team, is an exciting chance to shape the future of Baw Baw Shire and our community by promoting diverse perspectives and fostering inclusion for our First Nations people and other underrepresented community members.
Using your exceptional communication and engagement skills you will promote diversity and inclusion by facilitating dialogue, providing information and training, and advocating for frameworks that address systemic inequities within our council and community.
In this varied and rewarding position you will be responsible for important and multifaceted projects such as developing Council’s Reconciliation Action Plan and Disability Action Plan.
Your experience working with Traditional Custodians and Indigenous communities and/or other diverse community groups will enable you to build and maintain strong positive relationships and provide people with a direct voice into Council.
