About the Role

Due to an internal promotion, there is a fantastic opportunity to join Baw Baw’s Statutory Planning Team for a fixed term. You will be a senior member of Council’s Statutory Planning Team who will manage and process a variety of planning permit applications whilst contributing to group discussions regarding general procedures and process improvement. You will be expected to mentor less experienced planners and provide additional support where required. Your attention to detail, commitment to outstanding customer experience and the ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders will be pivotal in this role.

About the Successful Candidate

The successful candidate should have a qualification in a town planning related discipline, have a sound knowledge of the Victorian Planning Provisions and related legislation, and have at least 2 years experience as a Statutory Planning Officer. The successful candidate must be capable of understanding complex planning applications, representing Council at VCAT and be able to work with other team members with high workloads.
