About the Role

In this role you will lead a dynamic and innovative process to drive sustainable future growth in two of Australia’s fastest-growing towns. You will be responsible for:

•    Shaping the future direction and implementation of Council’s urban growth areas. 
•    Leading a complex yet exciting project, managing consultants, and other key stakeholders to lead the review of Council’s Developer Contribution Plans.
•    Representing and negotiating on behalf of Council with relevant key stakeholders such as Developers, Community and Governments. 

 

About the Successful Candidate

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • A degree qualification in Urban and Regional Planning, Engineering and/or a related discipline. Alternatively, equivalent relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated high-level strategic and tactical thinking, planning and project management skills and commercial acumen as applied to development projects and programs.
  • Experience in the development and interpretation of policies and strategies for informing the future growth and development of an urban area and innovative approaches to strategic planning.
  • Extensive experience in project management and/or leading major planning projects including projects involving multi-disciplinary teams and managing consultants.
