Baw Baw Shire Council is looking for a passionate Cadet Building Surveyor to join the Building Services team to help undertake the Shires statutory functions and provide assistance to the Municipal Building Surveyor.

About the Role
Baw Baw Shire Council is offering an exciting and dynamic opportunity to join our innovative Building Services team.
In this role, reporting to the Municipal Building Surveyor, you will play a vital part in the teams success by providing precise and reliable technical advice to internal and external council stakeholders. Additionally, you will be responsible for a range of administrative and technical tasks that support the efficient operation of the Building Services team.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable practical experience in building surveying, enhance your technical skills and grow professionally in a supportive team environment.
About the Successful Candidate
• Completed or undertaking studies necessary to be a building surveyor or building inspector.
• Basic knowledge of the Building Act, Building Regulations and the National Construction Code.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, with an understanding of the importance of customer service.
• Attention to detail and accurate work output.
• A current valid driver’s licence.
