About the opportunity

Our Finance team is looking for a Management Accountant to help support and guide the decision-making within our 40+ operational areas across Council. You will assist line managers in understanding their financial budgets, projects and any significant variances whilst offering insight based on true business partnering methodology. 

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, the successful candidate has the opportunity to have a real positive impact on financial reporting within Council.

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • A degree in an appropriate field
  • Solid relevant work experience
  • Current class C driver’s licence.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $1,660.60 per week
  • 35-hour working week 
  • Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
  • Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 10.5% employer superannuation contribution payable to Active Superannuation Scheme, Fitness Passport and gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
