About the opportunity

We are excited to be seeking 3 x Venue and Functions Assistants to join our Events Team on a casual basis. This role is primarily responsible for the ongoing support of setup and operations of events at our various function centres and other locations as and when required. Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Minimum 12-months of experience in a similar role
  • Provide First Aid certificate 
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
  • Solid working experience in:
    • Cash handling
    • Cleaning
    • Room set up
    • Stage setup
    • Customer service.
  • Strong understanding of and/or experience in hospitality (food and beverage) operations including front of house, kitchen and bar
  • Experience working within a dynamic team environment
  • Available to work flexible working hours during the week and on weekends. 

Desirable:

  • Fire Warden and Emergency Response.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $33.3597 per hour plus 25% casual loading 
  • Penalty rates apply for weekend shifts 
  • Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, and gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
