About the opportunity

A permanent, full-time opportunity exists to provide direct administrative assistance to the Manager Development Policy and Regulation, and support the functions of the wider team of Building Surveyors and regulatory compliance officers.

The position also provides support for business analysis and innovation initiatives across the City Planning and Development Directorate, and works closely with the Manager and senior staff.

We are seeking a dynamic individual with advanced organisational skills and excellent attention to detail to join our friendly team. 

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Certificate lll in Business Administration or similar
  • Suitable relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated experience using computer software programs including Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Availability to work flexible working hours
  • Current class C driver's licence.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $1,308.84 per week
  • 35-hour working week 
  • Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
