About the opportunity

Council is looking for a Senior Claims Administration to help support the broader Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team. 

In this position, you will assist in managing Council's Insurance portfolio ensuring the protection of assets and claims administration and implementing Risk Management Strategies to reduce corporate risk exposure.

Reporting to the Manager Procurement and Governance, the successful candidate has the opportunity to have a positive impact by supporting the ERM and Governance business unit within Council. 

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Certificate IV in General Insurance
  • 5 Years minimum experience in insurance
  • Membership in the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance
  • Computer literacy.

Desirable:

  • Diploma of General Insurance
  • Diploma of Risk Management.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $1,930.98 per week
  • 35-hour working week 
  • Car allowance
