Our Key Venues section oversees all of our aquatic and leisure centres. We deliver first-class activity and program choice, we promote Blacktown City as the leader in sport, recreation, and leisure and we give every visitor and customer a safe and memorable experience. Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope is an award-winning multi-purpose facility that offers high-quality programs and services. It includes an indoor aquatic centre with a 25 metre 10 lane lap pool, a wave pool, a program pool, a 4 court stadium, and a 16 plexi cushion courts, as well as a health and fitness centre, crèche, and function room facilities.

We are looking for customer focused and bubbly individuals who have a passion for membership services, health and fitness sales to join our Key Venues team as Casual Lifestyle Advisors.

Position purpose:

The role includes: 

  • providing excellent customer service to current, and prospective members at Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope
  • attending to all customers of the centre regarding membership services and to all incoming membership services telephone calls
  • conducting tours of the centre for visitors or new members in accordance with sales system procedures and protocols
  • conducting follow-up telephone calls, and emails on all membership service enquiries.

If you have fitness services experience in a similar role, and are driven to exceed members expectations, then this is the role for you!

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Experience in a sales program within a similar environment
  • Experience in the development and implementation of sales, membership services, members' events and loyalty programs
  • Experience in computers and database management
  • Experience working both within a team environment and as a ‘self-starter’.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this role starts at $29.2716 per hour plus 25% casual loading
  • Penalty rates apply for weekend shifts 
  • Trainee rates apply for applicants under 19 years of age
  • Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
