About the opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and experienced OSHC Child Care Assistant on a permanent, part-time basis. This position will be located at Kids’ Early Learning Marayong South OSHC.

This role requires working a split shift covering both AM and PM shifts across 5 days per week. This role is suitable for a passionate and experienced person who will provide an appropriate and stimulating program of care and education, and ensure the safety and well-being of children in the centre. 

About Kids' Early Learning

Here at Council, we own and operate a childcare business, Kids’ Early Learning, with a portfolio of 27 childcare centres and over 70 family daycare educators.

Kids’ Early Learning has approximately 300 full-time, part-time and casual staff, and operates throughout the Blacktown local government area, serving over 1700 families and providing care and learning needs for their children.

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Experience in the Early Childhood Field
  • Certificate III in Children’s Services
  • Completion of Child Protection Course - Identify and respond to children and young people at risk of harm
  • Current certificate HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
  • Current certificate HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • Current certificate HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting or Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training certificate that meets requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulation 2018
  • Working with Children Check clearance valid for paid work.

Desirable:

  • Current class C driver’s licence
  • Computer Literate
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service
  • Ability to work within a team environment.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $1,112.32 per week, pro-rata
  • Trainee rates apply for applicants under 19 years of age
  • 24.5 hour working week 
  • Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11.5% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
