About the opportunity

We are looking for an energetic, efficient and professional applicant to join our Development Administration team on a term contract, full-time basis for a period of up to 12 months. In this role, you will work alongside and within a supportive team, to provide administrative support to Development Services professionals, in our Planning and Building sections. You will assist in processing the following applications:

  • s10.7 certificates
  • 735A outstanding Notices
  • 121Z Outstanding Notices
  • Engineering and Subdivision certificate applications
  • Building and planning applications.

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • A minimum of 12 months’ work experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations
  • Computer literate
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Availability to work flexible working hours
  • Current class C driver’s licence.

Desirable:

  • Relevant office experience and good keyboard skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to deal efficiently with multiple tasks
  • Data entry experience, high volume.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $1,222.32 per week
  • 35-hour working week 
  • Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
