About the opportunity
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Building Construction and Maintenance section on a term contract, full-time basis for up to 12 months as a Senior Coordinator Building Construction. This position will be responsible for effectively managing and delivering:
- Building projects funded within the Works Improvement Programs (WIP)
- Cost estimate future projects, whilst ensuring projects are prioritised for listing within WIP on an annual basis
- A sustainable high performing team through coaching and mentoring along with delegation of tasks including architectural design, documentation, tendering/quotations and construction phases
- Projects on time and within budget by ensuring the team carries out their relevant key accountabilities accordingly
- Building infrastructure is renewed as per voted budgets and time schedules.
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Relevant 4-Year Degree in a related field (Building/Architectural)
- Minimum 8 years relevant work experience
- Extensive experience in writing tenders and reports
- Extensive project management experience within architectural design, and building, construction fields
- Demonstrated experience in building a high performing team
- High level of written and verbal skills
- Current class “C” driver’s licence.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $2,534.54 per week
- 35-hour working week
