About the opportunity

Join our Culture and Capability team as a Culture and Capability Support Officer on a Secondment for up to 4 months. You will provide high-level administrative support and be the organisational wizard who ensures that training events run like clockwork, and that all Culture and Capability-related matters are well-documented.

Working alongside a committed team, reporting to the Senior Coordinator Culture and Capability, we are seeking an adaptable, and approachable person.

This is a diverse role that includes:

  • coordination and administration of the training schedule
  • collation and reporting
  • assistance in the areas of staff development
  • liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • developing culture and capability programs for delivery, including monitoring outcomes and providing recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Demonstrated relevant experience
  • Experience in the use of various computer applications (e.g. Word, Excel)
  • Experience in administering Learning Management System functions such as recording training and setting up events
  • Ability to work within a small, dynamic and fast- paced team environment
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service
  • Well-developed communication and negotiation skills
  • Solid understanding of Council’s roles and functions for the community
  • Support the facilitation of training events such as Apprentice and Trainee Induction and Apprentice Development Day
  • Availability to work flexible working hours
  • Current class C driver’s licence.

Desirable:

  • Certificate III in Business Administration and/or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $1,316.09 per week 
  • 35-hour working week 
  • Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
