About the opportunity
We are seeking a motivated individual to fill the Team Leader Community Law Enforcement position on a term contract, full-time basis for up to 12 months. This position leads the parking enforcement team and provides advice and assistance to the Coordinator Community Enforcement.
In this position, you will:
- Ensure confidentiality of all information/records generated by the activities of the section
- Be accountable for the monitoring the Community Enforcement team’s performance against plans, budgets and objectives
- Be responsible for:
- inducting new staff into the team
- the effective supervision of any trainee or casual employees, and/or work experience students.
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Relevant Local Government experience in a similar capacity
- Knowledge of relevant issues and applicable legislation/regulations
- Computer literate with proficiency in the use of Microsoft products such as Word, Powerpoint, Visio, Excel and Access
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Provision of a wide range of skills applicable to the profession
- Current class C driver's licence.
Desirable:
- Certificate IV in Local Government (Governance and Administration) – This qualification is not compulsory however would be highly regarded.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,451.97 per week
- 76-hour working fortnight
- Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
- Leaseback vehicle
