About the opportunity
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Surveyor to join our Asset Planning and Support team on a permanent, full-time basis.
In this key role, you will provide expert surveying services to support our property, infrastructure, and development projects. Your responsibilities will include conducting real property and engineering surveys, preparing survey plans, and maintaining accurate survey records. You will also play a vital role in ensuring we meet our statutory obligations under relevant legislation.
As a leader within the team, you will coordinate survey requests, manage external survey consultancies, and provide professional advice across a range of areas including land acquisition, subdivision, easements, and infrastructure development. Your work will directly support the delivery of high-quality public assets and services across the community.

Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- NSW Registered Land Surveyor, under the Surveying Act 2002
- Extensive survey experience
- Current class C driver's licence.
Desirable:
- Current NSW registration with Board of Surveying and Spatial Information as a Registered Land Surveyor
- Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations
- Computer literate
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Availability to work flexible working hours.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $2,735.37 per week
- 35-hour working week
