About the opportunity

We have an exciting permanent, full-time opportunity for an experienced, resilient and innovative leader to join us as the Supervisor City Image.

This is a brilliant opportunity to play a large role in delivering our vision to be the best Council in Australia, and deliver high-quality services to our community. 

We are seeking a candidate with: 

  • extensive experience in local government, particularly in dealing with city image day labour and contractors
  • experience working with unions
  • well developed conflict resolution skills
  • a solid track record over several years in previous positions
  • an excellent customer service record
  • knowledge about mobility and telematics.

This role is primarily responsible to coordinate and roster Council operational staff or contractors in order to meet graffiti removal service requirements and ensure services to customers are provided to agreed performance standards. This role also assists the City Image team with the development, implementation and evaluation of projects that keep our public spaces clean and improve the amenity of the City. 

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Relevant tertiary or trade qualifications 
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of work procedures related to the delivery of operational works
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team of operational staff
  • Competency using computer applications
  • Current class C driver’s licence.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $1,790.59 per week, plus an additional 10.53% in accordance with Council's flexibility agreement  
  • 41-hour working week 
  • Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
  • Leaseback vehicle
