About the opportunity
We have an exciting permanent, full-time opportunity to provide direct administrative assistance to the Manager Community Law Enforcement and Waste, and support the day-to-day functions of the team.
This successful candidate will also provide support for business analysis and innovation initiatives across the team, and will work closely with the Manager and senior staff.
We are seeking a dynamic individual with advanced organisational skills and excellent attention to detail to join our expanding team.
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Certificate, Advanced Certificate or Diploma in a related field and/or a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated organisational skills, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality and professionalism
- Demonstrated advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work productively and collaboratively within a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment
- Current class C driver's licence.
Desirable:
- Experience using corporate databases (e.g. TRIM, Tech1, SCOUT)
- Experience in Intranet development and maintenance
- Experience in basic financial management
- Experience in website content management
- Proven competency in Committee management, including minute taking
- Proven excellent time management and organisation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, meet diverse business priorities and work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to manage a busy and ever-changing diary.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,408.84 per week
- 35-hour working week
- Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
