About the opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to recommence their apprenticeship to be a qualified professional and obtain a nationally recognised trade qualification.

We are seeking a motivated and reliable first or second year Apprentice Electrician to join our team commencing January 2026 on a term contract, full-time basis. Throughout this apprenticeship, you will receive on the job training, and be completing a Certificate III in Electrotechnology. Your fourth year will be a purely practical experience. During this apprenticeship, you will be working with, and supported by qualified tradespeople.

The salaries and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Blacktown City Council Enterprise Agreement. 

Who can apply

  • Currently in your 1st or 2nd year of Certificate III in Electrotechnology
  • Ability to obtain a class C driver’s licence when able to
  • Applicants must be an Australian citizen or be eligible to work in Australia (evidence required).
