About the opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Property Officer on a permanent, full-time basis, to support the effective management of our property portfolio. This role is primarily responsible to coordinate and carry out administrative and customer service functions with our reserved and leased car parking spaces, use of footpaths for display of goods and outdoor dining, operation of our cemeteries and provide administrative support to other property related matters.

An ideal candidate will provide the professional and expert support required to manage the property portfolio in collaboration with internal and external business partners. This position requires someone who is good at customer service, being innovative, attention to detail and committed to meeting our corporate needs.

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Business Administration or in a related field
  • Suitable experience in property asset management administration or similar
  • Awareness of applicable legislation/regulations
  • Computer literate in basic office applications with the ability to quickly learn corporate applications (TechnologyOne, HPE CM9)
  • Commitment to customer service
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Availability to work flexible working hours
  • Current class C driver’s licence.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of how the following legislation may relate to your role:
  • Local Government Act 1993
  • Dividing Fencing Act 1991
  • Roads Act 1993
  • Cemeteries and Crematoria Act 2013.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $1,502.79 per week
  • 35-hour working week 
  • Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
