About the opportunity
As our permanent, full-time Culture and Capability Support Officer, you will provide high-level administrative support to the Culture and Capability team. You will be the organisational wizard who ensures that training events run like clockwork and that all Culture and Capability-related matters are well-documented. In this role, you will be the training event conductor, making sure everything runs smoothly.
An ideal candidate will be:
- A superhero when it comes to administrative tasks and multitasking.
- Taking charge of the Culture and Capability email inbox, responding to enquiries and action requests.
- Collaborating with the Culture and Capability team to deliver our corporate training plan.
Dive into training statistics like a pro, from attendance records to costs, ensuring that everything adds up. Manage relationships with external training providers and suppliers. Handle our Work Experience Program coordinating placements and guiding careers advisors. Process invoices with precision, always following procurement guidelines. And, of course, be ready for any other duties that come your way. You're the all-around superstar of the team!

Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Demonstrated relevant experience
- Experience in the use of various computer applications (e.g. Word, Excel)
- Experience in administering Learning Management System functions such as recording training and setting up events
- Ability to work within a small, dynamic and fast- paced team environment
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service
- Well-developed communication and negotiation skills
- Solid understanding of Council’s roles and functions for the community
- Support the facilitation of training events such as Apprentice and Trainee Induction and Apprentice Development Day
- Availability to work flexible working hours
- Current class C driver’s licence.
Desirable:
- Certificate III in Business Administration and/or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,362.15 per week
- 35-hour working week
- Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
