About the opportunity
We are seeking a digital communications expert to join our award-winning Communication and Marketing team on a permanent, full-time basis. An ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and running successful paid and organic campaigns on social media, as well as managing, developing, and launching websites.
Experience with back-end reporting on both social media platforms and Google Analytics is also important to be successful in this role.
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Diploma qualifications in communications, public relations, or marketing
- Solid experience in a similar communications or digital role
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, a capacity to work independently and prioritise workload
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and a proven ability to write and produce communications for internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to quickly build strong relationships and rapport with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- The ability to work well under pressure on simultaneous tasks with tight deadlines
- High level of computer literacy with excellent word processing, writing and editing skills including Word, Microsoft Project and using a content management system (CMS)
- Current class C driver’s licence.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,933.33 per week
- 35-hour working week
