About the opportunity
This role plays a key part in strengthening our Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) framework and fostering a whole organisation commitment to its continuous improvement.
We are seeking a proactive and capable professional to join our high performing team on a permanent, full-time basis, supporting the development of our IP&R suite of plans and contributing to high quality corporate service reporting.
In this position, you will work collaboratively across all levels of the organisation and engage with our community to help embed a culture of excellence across more than 42 service lines. As a valued member of the team, you will provide expert guidance and practical support to staff and management, helping to shape the future direction of our organisation.

Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Relevant diploma qualifications in an appropriate and related field
- Solid working experience and training in a similar capacity
- Demonstrated experience in corporate or integrated planning, reporting and performance measurement
- Solid experience in corporate reporting in a large organisation
- Sound understanding of the NSW Local Government Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework
- Highly developed computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office/365 suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and capacity to administer, train and support users in a corporate software system
- Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of key corporate documents, reports and spreadsheets, to a professional standard
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills, including a proven ability to develop effective working relationships in a large and diverse organisation
- Highly developed organisation and time management skills and proven ability to meet challenging deadlines.
Desirable:
- Broad local government experience
- Experience in business planning in a large organisation
- Experience with business planning and reporting tools or systems (for example Pulse, Microsoft Power Platform, Enterprise Resource Planning systems)
- Current class C driver’s licence.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $2,078.51 per week
- 35-hour working week
