About the opportunity
We are seeking a reliable and organised Rehabilitation Support Officer to join our Workers Compensation and Safety team on a permanent, full-time basis.
This role plays a key part in delivering high‑quality administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our Safety section.
The successful candidate will contribute to a range of administrative and clerical functions, supporting both workers’ compensation processes and the Employee Health Surveillance Program.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing general administrative and clerical support to the Safety section
- Entering and maintaining accurate data for workers’ compensation claims
- Processing invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Administering the Employee Health Surveillance Program in line with the Work Health and Safety System
- Liaising with workers, supervisors, and managers to support effective delivery of the Health Surveillance Program, including scheduling appointments
- Preparing correspondence and documentation related to the Health Surveillance Program
- Maintaining and updating the electronic Health Surveillance database.
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Minimum Certificate III in Business Administration or a related field
- Minimum 12 months experience working in an office environment
- Demonstrate a commitment to customer service
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Able to work flexible working hours.
Desirable:
- Current class C driver’s licence
- Knowledge of AMA codes
- Experience in using corporate databases such as SolvInjury & TechnologyOne.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,362.15 per week
- 35-hour working week
