About the opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual currently undertaking a university degree in Engineering or Project Management to join our Transformational Projects Program team as a Student - Project Support on a term contract, part-time basis for up to 3 years and 8 months.
In this role, you will primarily contribute to the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grant (WSIG) and Office Accommodations Transformational Projects program, providing essential support across a range of activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- delivering engineering and project management support to the Transformational Projects Program Office
- assisting with the preparation of consultancy engagement briefs
- maintaining and updating a variety of project registers
- building and supporting strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- providing information, as directed, to Council staff and the community
- contributing to the delivery of the Directorate’s key objectives
- maintaining ongoing progress in your relevant studies, with a minimum study workload as outlined in your employment conditions.

Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Currently undertaking a university degree in Engineering or Project management
- Proven skills in Office packages like MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project etc
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Desirable:
- Experience working with Engineering or Project Management office
- Experience in the documentation and delivery of projects
- Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations
- Current driver's licence
- Availability to work flexible working hours.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

- 21-hour working week
