About the opportunity

We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Coordinator Digital Operations to join our Digital Services team on a term contract, full-time basis for up to 2 years.

As our Council continues to grow at pace, technology is central to delivering high‑quality services and driving operational excellence. In this role, you will lead key operational functions within Digital Services, applying modern digital tools and methodologies to streamline processes, enhance performance, and support our organisation’s evolving needs.

We’re looking for someone with strong experience across contemporary platforms and digital delivery practices. Your expertise will help strengthen the operational capability of our team and elevate the digital experience for both customers and employees. You will play a pivotal role in optimising systems, refining processes, and ensuring our digital services are efficient, reliable, and future‑ready.

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
  • Extensive industry related experience and demonstrated achievements
  • Extensive experience with Information Technology and business system service delivery in a large organisation
  • Extensive experience leading a team in the delivery of digital solutions and services
  • Proven experience in the implementation, configuration, management and integration of complex systems
  • Current class C driver's licence.

Desirable: 

  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing integration between systems
  • Microsoft Certified Professional certification
  • Information Technology Security certification
  • Project Management certification
  • ITILv3 Foundation certification
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture concepts, methodologies, techniques and frameworks
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall software development.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $2,735.37 per week
  • 35-hour working week 
  • Car allowance
