Resource Management Enforcement Officer

Job No: BC3605
Location: Blacktown, NSW

Professional expertise. Personal purpose.

Join our FOGO and Resource Recovery team as a Resource Management Enforcement Officer. You deliver projects and enforcement actions that directly support the Clean Cities Strategy and Illegal Dumping Action Plan.

Your focus is reducing illegal dumping through investigation, education and targeted programs. You attend illegal dumping sites, collect and photograph evidence, and prepare case files for enforcement action. You also interview witnesses, issue warnings or fines, and prepare reports, statements and legal briefs in line with legislation.

In the office, you plan and track projects, monitor program results and report on dumping trends. You also design and deliver education campaigns that show residents how to dispose of waste correctly and access clean up services.

You work directly with residents, businesses and contractors to resolve issues and prevent repeat dumping. This includes running information sessions, responding to enquiries and supporting behaviour change initiatives across the community.

Your work leads to cleaner streets, safer public spaces and fewer illegal dumping incidents. You see the results as sites are cleared, complaints reduce and community awareness grows.

At Blacktown City Council, good people make great teams – and great teams build great cities. Here, you will find the stability and support to keep growing, along with:
