As a Human Resource Officer, you support managers, employees and candidates across Council. You coordinate recruitment activities, manage employment documentation and respond to enquiries on recruitment, employee relations, policies and procedures. Your work helps Council attract, develop and retain the people who deliver services to the community.
Each day, you manage applications, coordinate recruitment campaigns and support selection processes. You prepare appointment letters, employment contracts, confirmations of employment and other documentation. You monitor enquiries through Council's human resources systems, provide advice to staff and managers, maintain records and reporting, and assist with workforce planning, employee development and recruitment events.
The work you do supports every part of the organisation. By providing practical advice, maintaining people processes and supporting recruitment and employee programs, you help create a positive workplace culture and a capable workforce. Your contribution helps ensure employees have the support they need to deliver quality services across Blacktown City.
