Street Cleaning Operator x 3

Job No: BC3735
Location: Blacktown, NSW

Work that matters, done with people who care

See the difference you make every day caring for the streets that shape our city. Across Blacktown City, our streets support a growing and diverse community. As a Street Cleaning Operator, you help keep roadsides, bus shelters and public areas clean, safe and well maintained.

You work as part of the Street Cleaning team carrying out manual and mechanical street sweeping, clearing litter and debris, cleaning bus shelters and removing unwanted waste from public spaces. You operate and maintain mobile plant and equipment, respond to customer requests and complete daily run sheets that help track work across the city.

Every task has a clear purpose. The work you do helps keep streets and public areas clean, supports community pride and creates safer spaces for residents and visitors. At the end of the day, you can see the results of your work in the neighbourhoods you help maintain.

You work well independently, contribute to a team environment and take pride in doing the job properly. Experience in street cleaning, waste collection or a similar field is highly regarded.

Whether you are developing new capabilities, gaining additional accreditations or broadening your operational knowledge, you will be supported to grow your career while making a visible difference in the community every day.

At Blacktown City Council, good people make great teams, and great teams build great cities. Here, you will find the stability and support to keep growing, along with:

  • a secure, permanent, full-time role with one of Australia's largest councils
  • an entry level salary commencing at $1,310.20 per week
  • a 38-hour working week
  • a Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
  • 12% superannuation and competitive leave entitlements
  • ongoing training and development support
  • access to Fitness Passport, social clubs and wellbeing programs.
