About The Opportunity
As a Gatehouse/Landfill Attendant, you will work at various waste management facilities across the Bundaberg Region. Your position will involve the opening and closing of these facilities, serving customers and processing payments, identifying and sorting waste and recycling materials, maintenance of the sites, load inspections and more. The successful candidate will be trained in both Gatehouse duties and Landfill duties.
As a casual employee, the number of hours and days you work will fluctuate across 7 days of operation.
About You
- Possession of a current “C” Class Driver’s License.
- General Construction Induction (White) Card.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts across 7 days and at various locations.
- Strong administrative skills and experience with various software and POS programs.
- Customer service and cash handling experience.
- Experience in a high volume customer service environment will be highly regarded.
- Good organisational skills and ability to work under minimal supervision and think on your feet.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions in a physically demanding role.
- Experience in the operation of waste management facilities (desired).
- Experience with the handling, storage and disposal of Hazardous Substances and Dangerous Goods (desired).
