About The Opportunity

As an Electrician, you will leverage your electrical skills to provide quality support to Bundaberg Regional Council. You will preform maintenance, installations, commissioning and repairs of electrical fittings, cabling, instruments, machines, and apparatus to Council buildings, properties, and infrastructure in a safe and efficient manner. 

About You

Mandatory Requirements: 

  • Qualifications as an Electrical Fitter / Mechanic
  • Able to provide evidence of trade and post trade qualifications, competencies and experience in domestic, commercial and Industrial electrical processes
  • Queensland Electrical Work Licence
  • Current Queensland Open "C" Class Driver's Licence (Manual). 
  • Ability to follow all safety, environmental and water quality work practices, policies, procedures, instructions and guidelines.
  • Effective oral and written communication and have good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and motivation to train, supervise and develop apprentices
  • Basic administration and computer skills in the use of computer and industry software.

Desired (or ability to obtain): 

  • Current First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Construction Induction (White/Blue Card) 
  • Current Low Voltage Rescue Certification
  • Current Confined Space Certification, including SCBA & Gas detector use
  • Working at Heights Certification
  • Current Authorised Persons Working Near Exposed Live Parts Certification
