About The Opportunity

As a Communications Support Officer, you’ll provide efficient support to the communications team to ensure the timely delivery of effective communication strategies. From assisting with projects to coordinating processes and offering exceptional support, this role is dynamic, rewarding, and a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills in the communications field.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide effective and courteous support to the communications team and the wider organisation.
  • Ensure accurate filing and record-keeping practices.
  • Assist with web content management and updates.
  • Conduct research to support communication initiatives.
  • Monitor, moderate, and schedule social media activity.
  • Collate content and contribute to streamlined team processes.

The position would be ideal for a highly organised and motivated individual with an interest in learning more about the communications industry and relevant tools including social media, e-newsletters and website content management. 

While prior experience with these platforms is not mandatory, a high level of computer literacy and the ability to quickly adapt to new processes and systems is essential. Strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are also highly valued.

About You

  • Provision of a satisfactory Criminal History Check – Police Certificate (Australia wide – name only)
  • Experience working in a high-volume customer focused office environment and providing excellent customer service.
  • A high level of computer literacy, including demonstrated skills utilising MS software applications and attention to detail. 
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to consult, communicate and problem solve effectively within a multidisciplinary environment within set guidelines. 
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team in a professional and positive manner, with a ‘can do’ attitude, with the ability to be tactful and discrete when dealing with matters of a sensitive nature. 
  • Interest in learning new skills within communications and marketing
  • Previous experience with communications content for an organisation or business highly regarded.
  • Willingness to undertake professional development opportunities to enhance effectiveness in this role desirable. 
  • Intermediate skills in Adobe software highly regarded.
