About The Opportunity
The focus of this position is to coordinate the day labour workforce, contractors and all resources to achieve project delivery and maintenance of Council's Civil assets. Coordinate resource planning across the Hinterland area, budgeting, reporting, personnel recruitment, staff development, and evaluation. You will provide strong leadership alongside promoting Council's strategic goals to all staff and lead a positive safety culture to build a zero-harm philosophy and vision.
About You
- Successful completion of a national police check.
- Proven track record leading multiple construction projects and motivating teams.
- Extensive experience managing complex civil construction or maintenance projects within budget, timeline, and quality standards.
- Strong roads and drainage construction experience, ideally within local government.
- Relevant licenses and certifications for operating road and drainage equipment, including an unrestricted Class C driver's license.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of local government work practices, policies, and safety regulations (WHS, environmental, traffic control).
