About The Opportunity (Internal Only)

The Construction Team based out of the Kalkie Depot, is seeking a skilled and motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills to join us as a Leading Hand, with a primary focus on grader operation. This is an excellent opportunity for career progression for the right person.

In this role, you will lead small work crews to achieve set construction activities, with a significant portion of your time dedicated to operating and maintaining the grader. Your responsibilities will also include manual handling, operating and maintaining other equipment, plant, and machinery, and working on roads and other similar activities. You will also assist the supervisor in carrying out their duties.

About You

  • Demonstrated team leadership skills with the ability to motivate and encourage team members
  • Demonstrated experience and a ticket for operating a grader
  • Possession of a class HR or HC licence is desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in roads and drainage construction and maintenance
  • Possession of a current Construction Industry General Safety Induction Card
