About The Opportunity

As Property and Commercial Facilities Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting and overseeing Council’s property and land dealings, including leases, sales, acquisitions, and the management of commercial facilities including holiday parks. Working closely with the Property and Commercial Facilities Coordinator, this role will provide technical and senior administrative support for the effective management of Council’s property portfolio, delivering positive outcomes. The role offers an opportunity to apply well-developed past experience while also growing and learning in your everyday activities.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Prepare and review relevant property dealings documentation, including contracts of sale, State Government forms, leases, and licences, as well as the lodgement and registration of such.
  • Prepare correspondence, notices, and reports for a diverse mix of internal and external stakeholders, including tenants, suppliers, Council staff, and community members as required.
  • Engage, liaise and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders, maintaining effective relationships and ensuring successful outcomes for Council.

About You

To be successful in this role:

  • You will have experience in a property related field.
  • You will have the ability to exercise sound judgement and work effectively under general direction on sensitive or complex matters. 
  • You will be comfortable supporting and overseeing property dealings and have well-developed skills preparing and registering associated documents. 
  • You will have a high attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Your organisational and time management skills will allow you to identify and adapt priorities as required.
