About The Opportunity
We are seeking a creative and strategic professional to join our team and play a key role in shaping Council’s public image. In this position, you will be responsible for producing and developing content and campaigns that support Council’s marketing and communication objectives. You will help ensure consistent, high-quality messaging across platforms while upholding the integrity of the Council brand in alignment with the Corporate Plan. This is a permanent part-time position with a minimum of 45 hours per fortnight.
About You
- A qualification in marketing, communications or a field directly related to the responsibilities of the position.
- Demonstrated success in developing, implementing and evaluating marketing campaigns.
- Minimum of 3-5 years demonstrated work experience in a marketing or similar role.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities.
- Well-developed stakeholder management skills including working with diverse stakeholder groups across varying levels of seniority and divisions.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and networks and interact in a positive manner with all levels of staff, including volunteers, suppliers, public and the Government bodies and the ability to actively contribute to a small but busy team environment.
- Technical skills across the Adobe suite and other relevant software.
- An ability to acquire knowledge of the administrative requirements associated with relevant Federal and State Government Legislation and Council Policies and Procedures.
- Demonstrated time management principles that can be used to assist in managing outcomes within set guidelines.
- Current C Class Drivers Licence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook);
- Knowledge of current industry trends and promotional tools relating to electronic media marketing and social networks.
- Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast paced, changing environment with minimal supervision;
- An ability to develop an understanding of Council Departmental functions and procedures.
