About The Opportunity
Join a dedicated team and play a key role in ensuring the accurate and efficient delivery of payroll services across Council. In this role, you will support the seamless delivery of payroll services through accurate processing, effective system maintenance, and a strong commitment to customer service. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and a commitment to supporting employees through reliable payroll processes. You’ll work collaboratively, applying your payroll expertise to deliver accurate, reliable services that enable Council to meet its obligations and support its workforce.
About You
- Demonstrated experience in a role within the payroll function of a medium to large sized organisation, requiring a high level of knowledge of payroll activities, processes and systems.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply relevant awards, industrial instruments, and payroll legislation, supported by sound knowledge and practical experience.
- Demonstrated ability to provide confidential, customer focused payroll and administrative support including the utilisation of Windows desktop software applications for the timely and accurate presentation of correspondence, reports, tables, and policy documents.
- Demonstrated experience in organisation, time management, and prioritisation skills, with a proven track record of working effectively under pressure to meet deadlines combined with the ability to work independently or in a team in a professional and positive manner.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships, provide quality customer service, and work effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and external contacts.
- Experience in local government environment desirable.
- Experience using Civica Authority computer systems desirable.
