About The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Plant Operator to join our Civil team. This role is responsible for operating multiple items of mobile plant and equipment and assisting in a wide range of maintenance, repair, and construction activities across civil infrastructure projects.
In this role, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Operating a range of mobile plant and heavy vehicles (e.g. roller, excavator, backhoe, water truck, truck and dog, front-end loader).
- Assisting with road and drainage construction, concreting, pipe laying, and asphalt/bitumen works.
- Ensuring safe work practices are followed at all times and completing required documentation.
- Supporting the civil works team on maintenance, repair, and construction activities.
- Participating in after-hours or emergency response work when required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:
- Demonstrated experience operating a range of mobile plant equipment, including Roller, Front-end Loader, Backhoe, Water Truck, Excavator, Truck and Dog.
- Current Class ‘HR’ Driver’s Licence with industry skills and extensive experience driving a heavy rigid motor vehicle.
- Extensive experience in roads and drainage construction and maintenance activities.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment to achieve outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work outside normal working hours as required.
- Possession of a current Construction Industry General Safety Induction Card, plus Working in Proximity to Traffic Awareness Part 1 & 2 and Traffic Management Implementation accreditation (or willingness to attain).
- Desirable: HC Licence.
