About The Opportunity

Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking a Senior Administration Officer to provide high-level administrative support to the Civil Branch within the Infrastructure Operations and Delivery directorate. 

Based at the Kalkie Depot, this position coordinates and oversees the daily activities of the Civil Administration Team to ensure timely and accurate service delivery. 

Key functions of the role include:

  • Delivering professional and efficient administrative services to the Civil Branch.
  • Coordinating workloads, mentoring staff, and ensuring effective team performance.
  • Preparing correspondence, reports, agendas, and minutes in compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Assisting with project-related documentation, permits, and applications.
  • Managing data systems, CRMs, and customer requests.

About You

The successful applicant will have:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience providing superior organisation skills to deliver quality high level administration support to managers, engineers and supervisory staff with high volume work commitments.
  • Experience in managing high level workloads & workflows using various CRM's or software programs in a results driven high volume environment.
  • A high level of computer literacy, including demonstrated word processing and data entry skills utilising MS software applications. 
  • The ability to multi-task, prioritise, develop and monitor effective support systems or work processes, with high attention to detail to ensure accurate and appropriate outputs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team in a professional and positive manner, with a ‘can do’ attitude, with the ability to be tactful and discrete when dealing with matters of a sensitive nature.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with internal and external customers & stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to a high standard, with the ability to consult, communicate and problem solve effectively within a multidisciplinary environment to set guidelines.

Desirable:

  • Qualifications in a relevant discipline (business and or administration) will be highly regarded. 
  • Experience in a civil or engineering environment will be highly regarded.
