About The Opportunity
As part of the Regional Growth and Development leadership team, the Manager Compliance Services has a critical role in shaping Bundaberg’s future by overseeing a range of services aimed at ensuring that Council’s local laws and policies are enforced in a way that effectively manages the impacts arising from the growth of the region.
The Manager Compliance Services is responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team, the position is to proactively develop and implement programs that support the education and enforcement of legislation related to animal management, local laws, environmental health and development. Enforcement of Council and State laws is be done in a way that engenders support for Council and its role in achieving compliance with these laws.
This role is responsible for driving performance through strategic planning, financial oversight, and business improvement. You’ll play a key role in shaping service delivery and enhancing customer experience across the region.
- Proven experience in strategic and financial management ideally in a Local Government
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on performance optimisation and service excellence
- A collaborative and innovative mindset, with the ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities
- A commitment to delivering outcomes that benefit the community
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
