About The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join our Civil team based at the Gin Gin Depot. In this hands-on role, you will work as part of a multi-disciplined team delivering a wide range of civil construction, maintenance and repair activities across the region.
You will assist the Supervisor by leading small work crews to deliver maintenance works, minor projects and specific tasks, while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to required standards. The role also involves operating plant and equipment, completing daily documentation, and supporting after-hours emergency works when required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:
- Unrestricted Class MR Licence, with experience operating rigid vehicles up to 15 tonnes GVM.
- Significant experience in roads and drainage construction and maintenance at a trade-equivalent level.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate small work crews.
- Current Construction Industry General Safety Induction Card (White Card).
Desirable Requirements:
- Class HR Licence.
- Traffic Controller Accreditation (MUTCD Level 2) with experience in traffic control and signage set-out.
- Certificate III in Civil Construction.
