About The Opportunity
Join our dedicated team and play a vital role in ensuring Council facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. In these positions you will deliver a quality, efficient, and cost-effective cleaning service across a variety of locations within Bundaberg and the surrounding areas, including Council offices, community halls, the multiplex, depots, and other public buildings. You will also contribute to community events by assisting with set ups and pack downs of the Bundaberg Civic Centre and Multiplex for functions and activities. These are hands-on roles where attention to detail, pride in your work, and a commitment to creating safe, welcoming spaces for staff and the community are essential. These are permanent part-time positions, offering a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight, must be able to work afternoons 1pm to 6pm - Monday to Friday.
About You
- Provision of a satisfactory Criminal History Check – Police Certificate (Australia wide – name only)
- Hold a current C class drivers license
- Demonstrated knowledge and proven skills to act in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety Procedures and adopt safe practice in carrying out tasks to ensure safe working environments exist at all times.
- Knowledge and experience in cleaning services.
- Ability to use and knowledge of a wide variety of cleaning equipment, cleaning agents and their correct application.
- Demonstrated time management and organising skills along with the ability to physically manage the set up and pack up of various equipment for events and functions large and small.
- Demonstrated well developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to comply with instructions and work unsupervised maintaining high attention to detail.
