About The Opportunity

As the Maintenance Planner Scheduler you will assist in servicing the fleet maintenance areas needs by coordinating, preparing and maintaining the master schedule of preventative repair and maintenance works for Council plant and equipment and provide resource and material support for other sections of Fleet operations and administration. 

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will

  • Meet Fleet customer requirements in an efficient manner and work in a team-based environment.
  • Assist in the assessment of maintenance demands, preparation of maintenance plans and servicing schedule.
  • Assist in the commission and decommission of fleet assets.
  • Assist in the management of spare parts.
  • Schedule preventative and breakdown maintenance as required (Minor and Major Plant).
  • Assist in the preparation of Fleet policy and procedure.
  • Assist the Fleet Procurement Coordinator in the preparation of the plant replacement program.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:

  • Can demonstrated an understanding of asset management principles as applied to a medium sized mixed fleet environment.
  • Proven ability to work to meet quality and performance criteria in an industrial trade’s workplace environment.
  • Have well-developed communication skills and people skills including communication with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Have high level experience with computer technologies and operating systems as applied to maintenance planning and work scheduling (preferably in the fleet sector) and experience in operating computerised asset management or maintenance management systems.
  • Formal qualifications in Business or related field would be highly regarded
