About The Opportunity
As the Manager Technical Services, you will lead a multidisciplinary team delivery engineering, laboratory, and governance services that underpin safe and reliable water and wastewater operations across the Bundaberg region. This is a strategic leadership role focused on ensuring compliance, driving innovation, and improving the efficiency and sustainability of critical community infrastructure.
You will work collaboratively across Council to deliver high-quality technical outcomes, support capital and operational projects, and ensure services align with legislative requirements and industry standards. This role plays a vital part in protecting public health and enabling essential services for our growing community.
About You
You are an experienced and collaborative leader with a strong technical background in water services and a passion for delivering outcomes that benefit the community. You will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering and RPEQ certification (or ability to obtain)
- Significant leadership experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams in a complex operational environment
- Strong expertise in water and wastewater operations, including regulatory and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead safety, performance, and continuous improvement outcomes
- Proven experience overseeing projects, budgets and technical and operational resources to deliver organisational priorities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
