About The Opportunity
Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking a HR Systems & Administration Officer to join our People, Safety & Culture team on a temporary full-time, 12-month fixed-term basis. In this role, you will provide high-quality HR administration, systems support and customer service to support the delivery of HR operations across Council.
You'll play an important role in maintaining HR systems, supporting the employee lifecycle, and ensuring data accuracy and compliance. Working closely with the HR team, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help deliver efficient, responsible and people-focused HR services to our organisation and community.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Proven experience in an administrative role, with strong attention to detail, accuracy, time management, problem-solving skills, and initiative.
- Ability to provide high-quality customer service and build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and accurate documentation and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Ability to learn and apply Human Resources policies, procedures and systems.
- Strong computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and business information systems.
Desirable:
- Experience working in Human Resources Administration or support role.
- Certificate II or higher qualification in Business Administration, Human Resources or related discipline.
- Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), workflow management systems and reporting tools.
- Experience working within a local government environment.
