About The Opportunity
Our Water Services' Branch is seeking a second-year Apprentice Plumber to join our Reticulation team. As an Apprentice Plumber, you will undertake a structured apprenticeship in plumbing under the supervision of qualified tradespersons. This role will support Council's operational requirements whilst completing a Certificate III in Plumbing.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of water distribution and sewage reticulation systems under supervision
- Operate and maintain plumbing tools and equipment under supervision.
- Undertake manual handling tasks safely and efficiently.
- Work with trade-qualified plumbers to complete installations and repairs to ensure compliance with regulatory, plumbing, and drainage codes.
- Participate in all training requirements in order to complete the apprenticeship.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:
- Demonstrated completion of the first-year Certificate III in Plumbing.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour.
- Current Construction Induction Card or ability to obtain.
- Current Class 'C' Driver's Licence
- Ability to obtain a Class 'MR' Driver's Licence.
