About The Opportunity

The focus of the Senior Technical Officer Environment is to coordinate and support environmental compliance, reporting and monitoring activities and provide technical support, through engagement and upskilling for the Waste Services team.

About You:

  • Current Class 'C' drivers licence
  • Degree Qualification (Applied Science, Environmental Science) or equivalent 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in an Environment Regulatory Management
  • Strong understanding of Environmental Regulation, Waste Reduction and Recycling Legislation
  • Demonstrated experience in the planning and coordination of staff training
  • Ability to communicate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, with excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • High level of computer skills with demonstrated ability to prepare a range of documents
  • Live and uphold the Council's values
