About The Opportunity
Your role as a Plant Operator/Labourer is to be part of a multi-disciplined team that is capable of performing a wide range of maintenance, repair and improvement activities within the Parks and Open Spaces section. A significate portion of this role is to operate large ride on equipment (e.g skid steer loader exceeding 2,000cc or ride-on mower exceeding 12h.p).
About You
- Possession of a current Construction Industry General Safety Induction
- Hold a current drivers' 'C' class licence
- Holding a Class 'UD' & 'HR' or 'MR' Truck License is desirable
- Demonstrated experience in Parks Environment, Landscape and Horticultural activities
- A sound knowledge of/or the ability to acquire sound knowledge of Part 3 of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
- Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally with a variety of internal and external parties
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment to ensure set outcomes are achieved.
- Certificate II or higher in horticultural related field and/or Herbicide Operator Ticket (AC/DC) and/or Chemical Awareness Certification would be highly regarded
