About The Opportunity
Your role as a Labourer (Water Services Treatment Team) is to be part of a multi-disciplined team that is capable of performing a wide range of operational, maintenance, and repair activities while assisting in the operation of Water Treatment Plants across the Bundaberg region providing a safe, efficient and responsive 24/7 service.
About You
- Possession of (or ability to obtain) a 'HR' Drivers Licence, Construction Industry General Safety Induction Card and Traffic Management Implementation.
- Having an interest in and aptitude for further training and career progression to become a Treatment Plant Operator.
- Verified skills to operate light mechanical equipment used within the water industry.
- Availability to work after-hours as part of an on-call roster.
- Team player with good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally with a variety of internal and external parties.
- Previous experience with operations and maintenance works within the water services industry will be highly regarded.
- Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office and Council applications.
- Live and uphold Council values and a "can do " approach to work.

The Selection Process
The preferred candidate will be required to undertake a National Police Clearance and Pre-employment Medical (which may include drug and alcohol testing), as part of the recruitment process you will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide the appropriate evidence.
